Employment: Full-time
Compensation: $19.00 per hour, payable bi-weekly

RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Records Clerk, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Medical Records Retrieval: Obtain records from healthcare providers for legal cases.
  • Records Organization: Categorize records for efficient accessibility during legal proceedings.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input medical information into the law firm's database.
  • Confidentiality: Adhere to privacy regulations like HIPAA to safeguard patient information.
  • Indexing and Cross-Referencing: Facilitate the location of specific documents for legal purposes.
  • Supporting Legal Proceedings: Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communication: Coordinate record requests with healthcare providers, clients, and legal professionals.
  • Technology Use: Proficiently handle electronic health record (EHR) systems and document management software.
  • Quality Control: Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records, rectifying discrepancies.
  • Time Management: Manage multiple records, meeting deadlines in alignment with case timelines.
  • Record Maintenance & Destruction: Properly store, archive, and dispose of medical records in compliance with policies and guidelines.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Your employment with United Citizen Law is subject to the following conditions:

  • At-Will Employment: Termination may occur with or without cause, and with or without notice, at any time.
  • Bonuses: Discretionary, based on hard work, attitude, and commitment to client success.
  • Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement: Signing required to safeguard proprietary and client information.
  • Probationary Period: A 90-day initial employment period, allowing termination with or without cause and with or without notice.
